Molecular Sieve 5A

The aperture of molecular sieve 5A, called as calcium molecular sieve generally, is about 5 angstroms. Besides the functions of 3A and 4A, 5A also has the function of adsorbing normal-hydrocarbons of C₃-C₄, ethane chloride, ethane bromide, butanol, etc. It can be used for adsorbing water, carbon dioxide and some organic gases in the oxygen-making industries
